Pupil Participation Groups

The views of the pupils at Heathryburn School are considered to be highly valuable.  To ensure that everyone has the opportunity to express their views we have established Pupil Participation Groups. Every pupil within the school is part of a Pupil Participation Group, which meet 3-4 times per term.

Pupils are responsible for

  • Attend Pupil Participation Group meetings on a regular basis
  • Report back what was discussed to their class
  • Take views of class members to their meetings
  • Be actively involved in projects and school developments run by the group

This year, we have the following groups:

– Eco Committee
– Fairtrade Committee

– Rights Respecting Schools Committee (Action, Enterprise and Citizenship Group)
– Health Promotions Group
– Digital Learning Group
