Out to Play – Nursery using our local woodland

This week saw the start of our Out to Play Project at Heathryburn!  The children in Nursery will now be going out to the local woods every Monday to experience a variety of outdoor learning opportunities.  We are really excited about the project, and look forward to seeing our access to local green space increase over the next few weeks, months and years.  Miss Skinner will be working closely with Miss MacDonald and outdoor learning specialist Juliet Roberston to develop the sessions and to support our children with this fantastic opportunity.

This week, the children were learning the routines associated with going to the woods as part of a Nursery session.  Everyone was delighted to have some parent helpers too!
