Community Skills Fun Day

We are delighted to inform you that Heathryburn School will be running a Community Skills Fun Day on Thursday 27 June. This event will be a fantastic opportunity for your child to develop their understanding of the world of work as well as the skills required for a number of jobs and careers.

After a whole school “What’s My Line?” careers assembly in the morning, the children will experience workshop activities delivered by the NHS, Wood (formerly Wood Group) and Child Smile. As well as investigating their own range of skills using software called “My Animal Me”, the upper stages children will also experience a branding activity run by The University of Aberdeen.

We would like to invite you to come along to school at 3:15pm to share in this fantastic event. You will have the opportunity to see a “What’s My Line?” activity, celebrate your skills and work with your child to see what they have been learning. Light refreshments will be provided and there will be a range of information regarding developing the young workforce.
